Shipping chocolates in summer is difficult and costly - NO REFUNDS on melted chocolates. Chocolate is sensitive to heat and can melt. We recommend that you choose expedited shipping, especially in hot areas of the country. We also will not ship over the weekend so your order may wait until Monday to ship. Also, we're sorry, but we CANNOT REFUND MELTED CHOCOLATES, we can't control what happens after it leaves our facility. Chocolate orders will be packed with one ice pack per chocolate box, in insulated silver bubble wrap in a box.
Tips to help make sure your shipment arrives safely:
- Ship Fedex 2day if you can. We've had 90% success with ground, but still...
- Ordering more than one makes sense, more ice packs and it offsets the cost of shipping.
- Make sure the package doesn't sit on your porch all day. Leave a note for the delivery person to put it somewhere cool or shaded.
- Look at the weather. Will it be 100 degrees when you expect delivery? Those trucks get HOT.
Allergen disclaimer: We produce in a shared facility with companies that use dairy, wheat, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts and soy. Our equipment is dedicated to Cocomels (we never use the above allergens except soy and tree nuts: coconut is classified as a tree nut by the FDA) and good manufacturing practices are used to prevent cross-contamination. However, since it is a shared facility and there are things that can occur beyond our control, we CANNOT GUARANTEE that there are no trace amounts of the above allergens.
